Wildlife Oil Painting Workshop  

every Tuesday Evening Starting Feb 7th  6:30 - 9:00+pm

Instructor Kaye Lee Brady will conduct this 4 part, 10 hour+ workshop for all skill levels.  From her photo library, students will select at least one wildlife subject of their choosing to complete on a 16" x 20" stretch canvas.  Depending on skill level, students may complete more that one painting.  Workshop instruction fee is $70 / materials and supplies $15 for entire workshop.


Fundamentals of Drawing Workshop  

every Thursday Evening Starting Feb. 2   6:30 - 8:30 pm

Instructor Kaye Lee Brady will conduct this 4 part, 8 hour workshop geared for beginners and/or 2016 returning intermediate students on basic drawing, shapes, perspective, techniques, shading, and highlighting.  Workshop instruction fee is $60.  Workshop materials and supplies for brand new students is $15 and includes portfolio size sketchbook, all drawing tools (pencils, gum erasers, ruler, protractor, etc.). Returning students should being their supplies from last year to avoid additional costs.  See March for intermediate and advanced student offering. 


WIRE SCULPTURE

FRIDAY EVENING, FEBRUARY 24TH   6:30 - 8:30 PM

Back by popular demand, Heike Winfield will guide students in the art of glass bead and wire wrapping.  In this class the students will make this adorable octopus to take home. No previous experience necessary, come join in the fun! Cost of class is $35, all materials are included.

Powder Coating

Saturday, February 25th  9:00 - 12:00 noon

Carolyn Sleeper teaches you the process of powder coating.  Creating beads of various shapes from wire, you will then powder coat them for making earrings, bracelets, etc.  In the allotted time you may be able to complete a piece of jewelry.  Regardless, you will leave with the knowledge and the additional materials needed (including ear wire and bracelet fasteners) for completing more projects at your leisure.  Cost is $40 per student.

Powder Coating Class

Mixed Media Painting Workshop  

Wednesday and Friday Evening, March 1st and 3rd   6:30 - 8:30 pm

This is a 2 part workshop with instructor Heike Winfield.  Working with different textures including lightweight spackling, puff paint, Mod Podge. acrylic paint and tissue paper, students will learn to create a textured surface on a 12 x 12 canvas the first evening.  On the 2nd evening, using a decoupage technique, and/or templates, students will paint an image of their choosing, creating depth and shades.  No previous painting skills required.  Workshop is $50 per student or $75 for adult with child 10+ years.  All materials included.

Polymer Clay

Saturday, March 11th   9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Love to work with clay but don't have a kiln?  Then Polymer Clay may be the perfect solution for you.  With instructors Jan Moore and Cathy Clayton, you will learn to make a couple of simple canes (Mokume Gane, Zinnia, and Leaf), learn their different application uses, and complete a simple project to take home.  Once you have completed the class, the sky's the limit for what you can aspire to create and the "tools" you'll need are already in your home.  Class fee is $30, materials $6.

Returning students should bring their supplies from previous workshops to avoid materials/supply charge.

Landscaping with Acrylics

Saturday, March 25  9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Instructor Cathy Clayton will lead students through the basics of acrylics.  Starting on paper canvas, students will become acquainted with the use of brushes and paint mixing and will create a landscape image to take home.   Cost is $30 per student, materials included.
